About Weekend America
Curious, Lively, Unexpected
Weekend America is a place for curious, lively conversations, unexpected stories, and the most compelling ideas about what's happening in America this weekend.
Each week, host John Moe invites listeners to a lively conversation about the issues of the week, the arts, and public affairs. Weekend America features material from the best talent from independent producers and public radio stations around the country.
We have some time, on weekends, to see the world through each other's eyes. To walk in someone else's shoes a bit, and go to places we wouldn't otherwise go. Stop by for a weekly visit with 300 million of your neighbors.
Weekend America is funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and Minnesota Public Radio.
John Moe became the host of Weekend America in August of 2008. Prior to that, he was a freelance contributor for several years and served as Senior Reporter on the program since January of 2007. His radio work has appeared on several national public radio programs. John was the staff writer for NPR's news satire program "Rewind" and hosted several public radio programs dealing with the arts, politics, business, and technology at public radio station KUOW in Seattle. His writing has appeared in several books, McSweeneys.net, The Seattle Times, and MSN.
